Starting Ahlia Linux Courses!

“Introduction to Linux OS, Implementation Using Virtual Machine Applications” was a workshop I gave in Ahlia University’s Lab 1.

I was told that maybe 10 would attend, but I was surprised to see 20 students signing up for this course! The full capacity of the lab is 20, and other were rejected because the place was full! The great thing is that they were all really interested in the subject where some were like “what is a virtual machine” and others had good experience of virtual machines and Linux in general.

I started with the presentation attached with the image above, ending with examples of Linux commands. We had Ubuntu as the distribution to have the hands-on with.

We are to continue such courses, where I am aiming at getting the Raspberry Pi involved. Maybe the University will open another section. Was very happy to see how bright the students were, and how our next generation of techies would be!
